How to Grow your Network Using Web 2.0 Part 3

In this installment of the series I will again be discussing Social Networking. There are a lot of social networking sites out there, and its obvious why one would want to join the big ones ie: Facebook. Aside from the sites with 100,000,000+ members where should we go to satiate our networking hunger?

One way to look at this is monitary gain, so that’s where we will take this discussion today.
There are several sites out there that offer a monitary incentive for membership, so which one should we choose?
Firstly, remember why you are joining said social network in the first place; you are trying to grow your network, establish meaningful relationships, and get your name out to as many as possible (REMEMBER, Market YOU Inc. Not your product).

The second thing to think about is what your target market is and choose a network accordingly. For this we will focus on a broad market of people, later I will discuss business specific sites.

The third issue (and yes these are in an order of importance) is the compensation plan.  How much you get paid and how is the least important issue concerning social networking because the potential value of the connections you will make will far exceed the couple of bucks (or less) you make from getting someone to join.
